2025 Fall Fun - Things I'm looking forward to

PERSONALLY I love spooky season. Here are some of the things in Southern Oregon I'm most looking forward to this fall season!

Crisp mornings, golden afternoons, and the scent of apples and pine — fall is one of the most beautiful times to be in Southern Oregon. Whether you’re looking for family fun, wine country adventures, or simply a great excuse to enjoy the cooler air, there’s plenty going on across the Rogue Valley.

🎉 Festivals & Community Events

  • Greater Medford Multicultural Fair (Sept 27): Celebrate the region’s rich diversity with food, games, and live performances.

  • Pheasant Fields Farm Harvest Festival (late Sept – Oct): Classic fall fun with pumpkin patches, hayrides, farm animals, and a corn maze.

  • Fort Vannoy Farms Harvest Festival (Oct 1–31): An 8-acre corn maze, pumpkins galore, and wagon rides make this a must-visit for families.

  • Talent Harvest Festival (Oct 4): A lively street festival with growers, artisans, food trucks, and live music.

  • Made in Southern Oregon – Fall Edition (Sept 27): Local artists and makers showcase their best handcrafted goods.

  • Rogue Valley Lions Wine Walk – Harvest Edition (Oct 4): Sip your way through local wines while enjoying downtown charm.

  • Uncorked Barrel Tour, Applegate Valley (Nov 22): A self-guided wine country tour featuring tastings, food pairings, and behind-the-scenes looks at regional vineyards.

🌾 Farms, Pumpkins & Family Fun

Southern Oregon’s farms shine in Autumn. Bigham Farms, Pheasant Fields, and other local pumpkin patches are brimming with seasonal photo ops, hayrides, and fresh cider. Kids can wander through corn mazes while parents savor donuts and coffee in the crisp morning air.

🍷 Wine & Culinary Adventures

Harvest is one of the best times to explore the Rogue Valley and Applegate wine trails. Wineries host release parties, special tastings, and vineyard tours. Pair the experience with local farm-to-table dinners or try a cider flight at a nearby taproom.

🚶 Outdoor Escapes

The colors of Lithia Park in Ashland, the trails at RoxyAnn Peak, and the calm of the Southern Oregon Coast all make for perfect fall day trips. Hiking, mountain biking, or simply leaf-peeping along quiet country roads are great ways to soak in the season.

🎃 Halloween & Spooky Fun

As October settles in, haunted houses, ghost tours, and trunk-or-treat events pop up throughout the valley. Local farms transform into nighttime mazes with lights, music, and hot cocoa for an extra dash of autumn magic.

Fall in Southern Oregon is all about slowing down, savoring the season, and making memories — from pumpkin patches and golden vineyards to cozy small-town festivals. Grab a sweater, bring your favorite people, and get out to enjoy everything this region has to offer before winter settles in.
